Mount View Heights Campus of Care is an award-winning 8-acre integrated, multi-use development that addresses key components of inclusive and diverse neighborhoods, including: seamless living and care for seniors as they age; housing for the homeless or at risk; affordable rental housing; and, community amenities.
Maurice was instrumental in development of the overall site, involving partnerships with all orders of government, multiple community agencies, and private and public funders.
Mount View Heights has been recognized as a Healthy Communities success story by PlanH due to:
- partnerships involving community, and non-profit groups and all levels of government
- green and neighbourhood friend design; and,
- the provision of safe, affordable and accessible housing for homeless-at-risk, families, independent seniors and those with complex care requirements.
PlanH is a joint partnership program between the BC Healthy Communities Society and Healthy Families BC that addresses three critical and interconnected themes required for a healthy community: Healthy People, Healthy Society, Healthy Environments.
